›39th COSPAR Scientific Assembly
The objectives of Committee on Space Research (COSPAR) are to promote on an international level scientific research in space, with emphasis on the exchange of results, information and opinions, and to provide a forum, open to all scientists, for the discussion of problems that may affect scientific space research. These objectives are achieved through the organization of Scientific Assemblies, publications and other means.
One of the major responsibilities of COSPAR is to organize biennial Scientific Assemblies with strong contributions from most countries engaged in space research. These Scientific Assemblies allow the presentation of the latest scientific results, exchange of knowledge and also the discussion of space related problems.
COSPAR Scientific Assembly is a premier forum for presenting the most important results in space research in all disciplines and it is considered as a focal point for truly international space science. This assembly is conducted in different member countries around the globe. COSPAR also encourages students' participation and provides opportunities for them to meet and interact with the members of academia, space industries and government bodies from all over the world.
