›Spin determination of New Physics
If signals of new physics are discovered at the LHC it will be crucial to determine
the spin of the new particles. I will discuss methods that can help to address this
question for different types of signal. Based on the differences in angular distributions
of primarily produced particles I will show that a significant difference can be observed
in the rapidity distance and azimuthal distributions of the final state particles. The
method can be applied to hadronic final states, gaugino and slepton production, and
models with compressed spectra. An additional advantage of the method is that it
does not rely on any particular structure of the couplings in the decay chain. Finally,
I will briefly discuss possible measurements a future linear collider.
