›World Space Week
The largest space event on Earth, UN-declared World Space Week is held October 4-10 annually. In 2012, over 700 World Space Week events were reported in nearly 70 nations. Via synchronized outreach to the public, students, members, employees, government leaders, and others, World Space Week participants reach audiences through both attendance and media. This unusual space celebration is organized by the global space community, teachers, astronomy organizations, and many others. World Space Week is open to all; please report planned October 4-10 space events in the global calendar at www.worldspaceweek.org.
