›SpaceUp NL 2015

The SpaceUp movement started in 2010 in San Diego and has gone on to conquer the world! SpaceUp NL is part of a suite of unconferences aimed at bringing space enthusiasts together.

At SpaceUp, our goal is to provide the opportunity for space enthusiasts from all walks of life to meet, with the common goal of creating an atmosphere of open exchange between participants. It does not matter if you are a hardcore scientist/engineer or if you just find Space awesome: SpaceUp NL is THE place to be.

Everyone who attends SpaceUp NL is encouraged to give a talk, moderate a panel, or start a discussion. Sessions are proposed and scheduled on the day they’re given, which means the usual “hallway conversations” turn into full-fledged topics. You will be amazed at what comes out of SpaceUp. Based on similar unconferences in other industries, you might see businesses started, problems solved, projects kicked off, plans hatched, and amazing friendships born!

The first SpaceUp in The Netherlands was held at Space Expo in Noordwijk in 2014. On the back of the success of SpaceUp NL 2014, this year's event will be held on Saturday, 3rd of October, 2015 at Space Expo once again. This coincides with the ESA/ESTEC Open Day on the 4th of October, giving participants the chance to enjoy an awesome Space-weekend. In addition, a pre-event will be organized in Delft on Friday, 2nd of October.
