›Visions of Space
Following our celebration of astronomical and space art in a number of articles this year, BIS members and the general public can now enjoy the opportunity this autumn to see first-hand the works of leading from the International Association of Astronomical Artists (IAAA) and BIS Fellows and Members from the UK. These will be featured in a major exhibition which is being organised by BIS South-West (Bath) in association with the Wells & Mendip Astronomers, a member society of the Federation of Astronomical Societies, in Somerset involved in public outreach and STEM education.
The exhibition, ‘Visions of Space’, will include works by BIS Fellow and former IAAA President David A Hardy and by former BIS President Bob Parkinson, MBE. We are also delighted to welcome well-known artists Dr Mark A Garlick, Richard Bizley, Gavin Mundy, Jackie Burns, Garry L Harwood and Nick Stevens, each of whom will be taking us on a unique and personal voyage of exploration in the show.
