British engineers played a crucial role in the success of of Apollo. The demise of Avro Canada enabled NASA to recruit the cream of the British and Canadian engineers, with skills in telemetry, computers, and areas vital to NASA. This talk will give credit to these individuals, whose efforts have been largely overlooked.

Biography
Dave Wright is a Fellow of the BIS, a teacher, STEM ambassador and Historian with special interest in Missile technology. He was one of the founders of the British Rocket Oral History Programme and was one of the organisers a series of BROHP conferences at Charterhouse. He was a founder of the Sir Arthur Clarke Awards and was the main organiser of the first UK Space conference.
