The 10th Anniversary of Carolian Astronomy Society happens in January 2016 and to celebrate we are holding an Astronomy Day on Saturday 16th January 2016 at King Charles 1st School, Comberton Road, Kidderminster. We have three talks: Jerry Stone from Spaceflight UK: “Is Pluto a Planet“; Professor Andy Newsam from “The Schools Observatory“/Liverpool John Moors University on “Things that go bang in the night”; and Dave Eagle on “Rosetta and Philae“. The meeting begins at 1300 and finishes at 1900 with possible observing after that depending on the weather.  Anyone interested in astronomy and spaceflight is invited to attend.
