This conference addresses research and development of processes, technologies, and hardware that demonstrate the utilization of space resources. Topic areas include aspects or applications of resource utilization in support of human or robotic exploration to destinations such as the moon, Mars, and Near-Earth Objects, including production of mission consumables (such as water, oxygen and fuel) from local regolith material and/or atmosphere; physical manipulation of surface material including methods of drilling, excavation, beneficiation, dust mitigation, and surface transportation; production and use of local materials for construction purposes; and integration of space resource production with other systems including propulsion and life support.
