Secure World Foundation (SWF), Caelus Foundation (CF), and the Chinese Society of Astronautics (CSA) are partnering to host this half-day workshop to discuss international space-related economic policy and best trade practices that can be built between China, the United States, and the global community. As both the U.S. and China seek to advance the development and capabilities of private sector space activities this workshop aims to develop information exchange and better understanding of definitions, approaches, and concepts related to the commercialization of space activities as understood in both countries. The workshop will feature remarks by a selected Chinese delegation and American experts involved in space commerce and trade related activities, and offer perspectives from academic and practitioner viewpoints. Speakers will also share experience from the commercialization of other industries, in order to better envision the wide range of possibilities for the space domain.
