NEREUS together with Nouvelle Aquitaine and the Aerocampus Aquitaine organizes two outreach workshops on “Better Skills for Space Geo-Information and Copernicus User Uptake- Discussing the EO4GEO Sector Skills Strategy and its Recommendations”:

24th October at the European Committee of Regions (map) hosted by Ms Isabelle BOUDINEAU, President of the COTER committee at the CoR and NEREUS-president Bernard Plano will be among the invited speaker. (Conference language English) – Target Audience: Brussels-based representatives of regional representations, networks and associations and the university community

What is it about?

The outreach-workshops are embedded in the ERASMUS+-funded initiative EO4GEO, a Sector skills Alliance project of 26 partners from 13 EU countries, most of which are part of the Copernicus Academy Network, and active in the education and training fields of space / geospatial sectors.

Everyone interested in Education, Training, Skills Development and Capacity Building in the Geo-information sector/Copernicus: Representatives of regions, public authorities using space data and interested to develop necessary skills, education and training organisations, universities, businesses active in the geo-information and space sectors, and any other interested stakeholders are invited to join the workshops.

The overall objective is to introduce the participants to the EO4GEO sector skills alliance, present and debate the Sector Skills Strategy and long term Action Plan with particular focus on strategic stakeholder and get their views on the initiative.
