On November 19 and 20, the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB), the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications, the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, through the Special Secretariat for Strategic Affairs (SAE), the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI) and the São Jose dos Campos Technology Park will hold the third edition of the Brazilian Space Industry Forum. The Forum will take place in São José dos Campos Technological Park, located at São José dos Campos. The objective of the Forum is create a debate environment where all stakeholders can change ideas and make business to improve the space sector. The public expected in the event is the private initiative, public entities, funding agencies, research institutes, universities and startups.

The Space Economy engages launchers´ hardware and software, satellites, ground equipment and applications’ sectors. Using satellite data and images makes possible to create solutions on remote sensing, communications, meteorology, positioning and navigation systems and data collection. Besides the space companies, the event will try to attract companies from other sectors that make use of space data and technology. New companies can thus create new opportunities of business.

The theme of the upcoming third edition will be: “Space Economy and Business”. The event will aim to discuss the socioeconomic benefits generated from the space sector, the possible applications, the forms of promotion for new companies, and to publicize the models of use of the launch centers. The idea is to broaden the target audience and invite strategic partners, including representatives from Latin America, the United States, and Europe. We hope to integrate the national industry with the global and private environment.
