About the Speaker:

David Jefferis  

David Jefferis joined The Observer Sunday newspaper in 1968, creating news graphics and working on articles for the colour magazine. He worked with many journalists, including science correspondent Jeremy Leach on the Apollo missions. Also von Braun’s ideas for an early-1980s Mars landing.

At Usborne Publishing he was in charge of science and technology titles, including WOF other series. Others included World of the Unknown, Young Scientist. Later, with Nigel Henbest and Heather Couper, he won The Times Educational Supplement Prize for ‘Galaxies and Quasars’ published by Franklin Watts. His own book series have included Megatech, ISS, Beyond Earth, Science Discovery, Humans in Space, Robozones, and many more.

David is presently working on new sci-tech for Japanese and North American readers.
