Unfortunately given the rapidly changing situation on campus with COVID-19 we are going to postpone the Women in Geospatial event to a later date.

CSW & Women in Geospatial: Connecting & Building Community

Geospatial technology is more than making maps!

Geospatial technologies are becoming ubiquitous across disciplines and industries. From tracking disease and mapping election results to location analytics for real estate investment, using drones to survey habitat, and building software for apps like Uber or Apple Maps. Geospatial data & tools are all around us. It is data science, journalism, policy or simply making a map using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Geospatial data and tools drive most every aspect of our lives and the way we interact with each other and the world around us.

Hear from a panel of women on campus who use and teach GIS and learn how skills in GIS or geospatial technology might be applicable in your field of study.

This is your chance to discover what resources are available on campus to learn about geospatial technology and GIS and to meet people who are already using or teaching it.

12.00 pm - 1.30pm
