Satellites provide innovative solutions in a multitude of sectors, from agriculture to digital technology, energy and healthcare, giving companies the opportunity to gain a competitive advantage. Whether it’s for navigation, communications or earth observation, connections with satellites help to deliver innovative products and services here on earth.

STFC is working in partnership with the Satellite Applications Catapult to deliver an interactive workshop for businesses and entrepreneurs who are considering the uses of satellite technologies in their products.

Experts from the Satellite Applications Catapult will present on three key areas of satellite technology at an introductory level, suitable for those new to the potential of satellite applications. Key case studies will be used to look at the technical requirements through to end user application, and there will be an opportunity to talk directly to experts to discuss your innovation idea.

This workshop will also equip potential applicants of the European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre UK (ESA BIC UK) with the latest knowledge and insight on the downstream application of satellite technology, as well as present other funding and support programmes available through STFC and the Satellite Applications Catapult to enable the use of satellite applications to address market needs.
