›63rd session of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space -
POSTPONED
The 63rd session of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space will take place from 17 to 26 June 2020 at the Vienna International Centre.
POSTPONEMENT OF THE 17 - 26 JUNE 2020 SCHEDULED SESSION OF THE COMMITTEE ON THE PEACEFUL USES OF OUTER SPACE
This is to inform that, after careful consideration and consultations, the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, in its capacity as Secretariat of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space and its Subcommittees, has decided to postpone the 63rd session of the Committee.
The Committee was scheduled to hold its 63rd session in Vienna from 17 to 26 June 2020. This session is postponed and will not be held as scheduled.
The Secretariat is assessing different alternatives with UNOV Conference Management Services (CMS), including the possible holding of the 63rd session of the Committee in the second half of August 2020.
In this context, and in conjunction with the holding of the session under consideration, the Secretariat is also looking into the holding of the 1-day meeting of the 59th session of the Legal Subcommittee, constituting an extraordinary measure only to consider administrative matters of the Subcommittee. See previous communication OOSA/2020/9 - CU/2020/104 of 11 March 2020.
