The European Space Agency is pleased to invite you to participate to the EO phi-week 2020.

EO phi-week 2020’s central theme will be the scientific, technological and business drivers supporting an emerging European initiative fostering the development of a Digital Twin Earth.

The Digital Twin Earth is viewed as an interactive digital replica of our planet, based on an effective integration of Earth Observations (satellite, in-situ, citizen data), AI, Earth System Science and Modelling.

The Digital Twin Earth enables a deepened understanding and sound representation of the Earth System. The output shall provide advanced science-based decision support capabilities, including enhanced predictions and simulations, responding to the urgent and complex societal and environmental challenges of our times.

Pre-registration will open on 1 June 2020

The Phi-week is an open event, welcoming EO researchers, data scientists, non-space corporates, tech leaders, entrepreneurs, startups, innovators and EO enthusiasts.

The Phi-week event is hosted at ESA-ESRIN. Please note that while we openly welcome the whole EO community, the attendance on site is limited by the site capacity following safety and security requirements. A confirmation of the possibility to attend on site shall be sent to registered participants. Online streaming services and tools for community interaction shall be provided openly.

In light of the ongoing global health concerns, we are closely monitoring the situation, as well as any official announcements or directives. Any update on the Phi-week shall be posted here.
