DATA FROM SATELLITES HAVE BECOME AN IMPORTANT SOURCE OF INFORMATION UNLOCKING NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES AND ENABLING NON-EXISTING USE CASES. EBN TOGETHER WITH THE EUROPEAN AGENCY FOR THE SPACE PROGRAMME (EUSPA) ORGANISES A SERIES OF WEBINARS SHOWCASING HOW SPACE DATA ENRICHES INDUSTRIES TODAY.

Space-technologies for Farming, with expert Joaquín Reyes (EUSPA)

During the webinars, the EUSPA will introduce the EU Space programmes and activities towards entrepreneurs and start-ups, deep dive into how space data can enrich different sectors and examples of existing projects.

The first webinar will be focused on farming to promote Europe’s Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Earth Observation (EO) services in agriculture and forestry. We will present ideas and innovative solutions, relying upon European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS), the Galileo system, or Copernicus.

The guidelines followed will be the European Green Deal, the Farm to Fork Strategy and the Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) and how these initiatives help farmers, users and policy officers to manage the administrative burden and go ahead into a digital, productive and sustainable environment.
