Em 26 de janeiro de 2022, representantes da União Européia mostrarão os benefícios potenciais do Galileo e do EGNOS para os cidadãos e a economia do Brasil em um webinar dedicado. O webinar oferecerá uma visão geral dos dois componentes e aprofundará serviços e casos de uso específicos, como o serviço de busca e salvamento (SAR) do Galileo e o papel do EGNOS no setor de aviação europeu.

O objetivo da tecnologia de satélite é tornar nossas vidas mais fáceis e seguras. Em particular, os sistemas globais de posicionamento e navegação estão encarregados de facilitar nossos movimentos diários, aumentar a eficiência do transporte e fornecer assistência crucial aos cidadãos em situações de emergência.

O Galileo é o próprio sistema global de navegação por satélite da Europa, oferecendo informações de tempo e posicionamento com uma precisão de até 20cm e serviços únicos que outros sistemas são incapazes de fornecer. A precisão e a precisão do Galileo é ainda mais aperfeiçoada pelo EGNOS, o Sistema Europeu de Aumento por Satélite (SBAS) que já está ajudando inúmeros usuários nos setores de transporte e agricultura a conduzir operações mais seguras e mais eficientes.

On 26 January 2022, representatives of the European Union will display the potential benefits of Galileo and EGNOS for Brazil’s citizens and economy in a dedicated webinar. The webinar will offer an overview of the two components and delve into specific services and use-cases such as the Galileo Search and Rescue (SAR) service and the role of EGNOS in the European aviation sector.

The goal of satellite technology is to make our lives easier and safer. In particular, global geo-positioning and navigation systems are tasked with facilitating our everyday movements, increasing transport efficiency and providing crucial assistance to citizens in distress situations.

Galileo is Europe’s own global navigation satellite system, offering timing and positioning information with an accuracy of up to 20cm and unique services which other systems are unable to provide. Galileo’s precision and accuracy is further enhanced by EGNOS, Europe’s Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) which is already helping countless users in the transport and agriculture sectors to conduct safer and more efficient operations.
