A UNIQUE ATMOSPHERE

The 2022 Conference edition will be held at a very special place with a unique atmosphere: at a camp in the city of Heilbronn. With its surprising and unusual spaces, it will provide places and moments for stopping to take a deep breath, for reflection, for manifold inspiring encounters – and it will allow us to look at the things we do from new perspectives. How do we best confront the global challenges we are facing? How do we best embolden citizens to engage and participate in science? How do we best encourage sharing and working together in our community? The unusual conference setting will inspire us to develop fresh answers to these questions.

THE CONFERENCE HOSTS

experimenta opened its doors on November 14, 2009 in a former historic storehouse. The date marks the beginning of a remarkable success story. Today, a spectacular new building in glass and steel complements the previous domicile.

Wherever visitors go: experimenta is a unique place for exploring today’s world through science.

In four exhibition areas with more than 275 interactive exhibits and four glass-walled creative studios, everyone is invited to smell, hear, see, feel, marvel – and experiment to their heart’s content. A great variety of programs take place within the Science Dome. It is a unique combination of theatre and planetarium creating truly special experiences. Eight high-quality labs encourage experimentation and the pursuit of independent research projects. In the Maker Space, young innovative makers find an exciting platform for design and development, whereas the Forum serves as a venue for exciting discussions on the latest in science and research. And there are even more unique offerings at experimenta!
