The AIAA National Capital Section and GW Branch will host Dr. Brian Weeden discuss current issues in space sustainability and space policy. Topics such as the militarization of space, the Space Force, and potential conflict in space; settlements and resource extraction of extraterrestrial bodies; space traffic management and orbital debris; and the future of international space collaboration will be discussed.

Dr. Weeden is the Director of Program Planning at the Secure World Foundation, the Executive Director of the Consortium for Execution of Rendezvous and Servicing Operations (CONFERS), and former Chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Space Technologies.

Food will be provided.
