The Space Foundation's annual State of Space will bring together senior space community leaders from the public and private sectors for a high-level, robust discussion on how today’s space environment is shaping today’s national and economic security environment. Following brief opening remarks by Space Foundation CEO, Tom Zelibor, Christian Davenport of the Washington Post will moderate a discussion with two of the US Congress’ senior space leaders, Rep. Kendra S. Horn (D-OK) and Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO), the bipartisan co-chairs of the Space Power Caucus. Brian Berger, Editor in Chief of Space News will then moderate a panel of emerging space industry leaders who will share their insights and observations about the challenges and opportunities as the space economy expands and new players and issues emerge. A moderated Q&A session with attending audience and media will be conclude the program.

On February 11, 2020, at The National Press Club in downtown, Washington, D.C., Tom Zelibor, Chief Executive Officer of the Space Foundation—the world’s premiere organization dedicated to inspiring, educating, connecting and advocating for the global space community—will offer remarks highlighting the roles, challenges and opportunities that space plays for our national, economic and educational security.
