EXOPLANETS BETWEEN THE 2019 NOBEL PRIZE IN PHYSICS AND THE CHEOPS SPACE MISSION

The Consulate general of Switzerland is pleased to invite you to the conference organized in partnership with the International Space University - ISU on March 12th, 2020 at 3 pm ISU - Parc de l’Innovation - Illkirch Graffenstaden.

Professor Francesco Pepe, is the director of the Astronomy Department at the University of Geneva. During his conference, he will focus on the link between the Nobel Prize in Physics and the launch of the Cheops space mission. These events have the same origin: the discovery in 1995 of the first planet outside our solar system by the two Swiss Nobel Prize winners 2019 astrophysicists Michel Mayor and Didier Queloz.
