Description

Join the team from Space:Exe for this their third annual conference at Exeter University. As always the conference is open both to the general public and students.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the current research being done in astronomy, including leading figures from the University of Exeter, Met Office and Heidelberg University. We will also be hosting stalls from various institutions such as the Institute of Physics and First Light Optics (along with others!), demonstrating some of the wonderful astronomy and space science related things going on in the South West.

Event is an Astronomy Festival normally with trade stalls and presentations spread across a couple of days.

This event is being organised by Space Exe who should be contacted if you have any queries. We highly recommend you confirm this event is indeed going ahead before travelling. If you do attend it would be fantastic if you could let the organiser know you found them via Go Stargazing!

About the Conference

One thing we are passionate about as a society is sharing the wonders of the universe with everyone. This is one of the reasons we are delighted to be organising our third conference devoted to all things space.

Once again, we have some fantastic speakers coming from the University of Exeter, Met Office, Heidelberg Univeristy and others. This year we have an open area in the Peter Chalk Centre, where our exhibitors from the Institute of Physics, First Light Optics and others are coming along to show you some of the wonderful astronomy and space science related things going on in the South West.

Stay tuned to our lastest updates on speakers and programme. Here is an example of our event last year.

Everyone is welcome to come along for a single talk or for the whole day. We look forward to seeing you.
