Distinguished speakers

(1) Dr Ari Gargir founder of Red C Biotek - RedC is developing a blood product containing preserved, universal red blood cells with a hydration solution and ready-to-use transfusion set. To use the product, a physician snaps the safety valve, mixes the solution with red blood cells, and transfuses. It is easy to operate, stable, and safe.

RedC is developing, integrating, and implementing stem cell and tissue culture cultivation technologies to mass-produce red blood cells by using large-scale in-vitro production methods that will significantly reduce the cost of packed red blood cell units for transfusion while employing cell preservation technology.

(2) Jonathan Geifman founder of Project Helios. HELIOS’ vision is to make humans multi-planetary. Launchers are constantly getting better and landers are nearly operational. The next step in the chain is to develop technologies that can utilize resources on-site, first to drastically reduce the cost of initial establishment, and eventually to enable the colonists to “live off the land”.

(3) Yotam Popovitz CTO and Co-founder of Shalem.Space . Shalem changes the way we consume high-end food, supplements, and cosmetics to allow sustainable good health. At Shalem, we take the agricultural and industrial processes and we squeeze them into one small standalone appliance. This appliance produces microalgae 24/7, providing the end-user with top tier superfood that allows for minimal time, effort and money spent, combined with maximal quality, freshness, and availability. Whether it is PUFAs for focus and concentration or pigments & carotenoids for anti-aging properties, Shalem allows for better health and sustainable on-demand nutrition, simply at the push of a button.

About Space Cafe Tel Aviv

SpaceCafé is a community gathering for space professionals that was created by International Space University alums and is taking place regularly in several locations around the globe.

SpaceCafé TLV was founded by yours truly (Ofer Lapid and the Ramon Foundation), and with the support of the Israeli space agency in order to add Tel Aviv to the global map. Our intent was to introduce incoming VIPs to the local ecosystem but since the recent events stopped most traveling we decided to opt for a life event.
