SDG 18 – Life in Space - Getting Space on a Global Agenda - An international roundtable discussion

About this Event

This roundtable discussion is organised under the guise of the UN75 Dialogues in honour of the UNs 75th anniversary. The topic that will be discussed is the need to put space on the global agenda. The questions that will be discussed include:

  • Is there a need to have space on the global agenda?
  • If yes, why is there a need?
  • What are the next steps to be taken?

The dialogue is organised and led by a group of students from Windesheim Honours College in the Netherlands, working on the goal of getting the UN to incorporate outer space in their SDG Agenda. Experts from different backgrounds and countries have been invited to share their opinions.

Confirmed panelists:

  • Agnieszka Lukaszczyk (Senior Director for European Affairs at Planet)
  • Michelle L.D. Hanlon (Co-Founder For All Moonkind, Permanent Observer at United Nations Committee on Peaceful Uses of Outer Space)
  • Tomas Hrozensky (Resident Research Fellow at the European Space Policy Institute & Chairman at Slovak Space Policy Association)

The audience is encouraged to participate, so bring your curious minds!
