The 1st. INTERNATIONAL MOON DAY BRAZIL will be held on July 19, 2022, as part of the worldwide celebration of the International Moon Day.

The Moon Village Association (MVA) proposed to the United Nations Committee for the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UN COPUOS) to establish a worldwide day of celebration commemorating humanity’s first steps on the Moon by the Apollo-11 mission: “International Moon Day” (IMD), annually, on the 20th of July. This recommendation was officially adopted by the UN General assembly on December 9, 2021.

IMD 2022 will consist of global and local events occurring throughout the week of July 20, across cultural, scientific, technical, entrepreneurial, educational and contemporary divides, and will involve diverse stakeholders from the space industry including business, academia, government and civil society.
